This nomination event is closed

Little Livie’s Next Home accepted nominations from June 27 through July 27, 2026. That window has ended. This article and the embedded video preserve the original announcement; they do not reopen the event or offer a new entry method.

The idea was to give an already-loved Little Livie doll from Ashton-Drake Galleries to someone another person believed would appreciate the gift. In my collection, I had called her Olivia. Letting her go was a little emotional, but I wanted to share something that had brought me joy.

Why I chose nominations instead of a random drawing

I wanted the project to begin with somebody thinking about another person. The invitation was to nominate someone else who could use encouragement, companionship or a reminder that they were loved. It was not a purchase promotion or a competition to collect the most comments.

Bitty Bunny Reborn Nursery and Hippie Mama Reborn Nursery joined the original announcement as members of the community review panel. We planned to read the eligible stories and make a panel decision. The focus was the meaning behind the nomination, rather than drawing a name at random.

The gift and the original boundaries

The announced package included the pre-loved doll, two outfits, an NLT Bible and a personal handwritten note from me. Faith is part of who I am, and I wanted the gift to carry encouragement beyond the doll itself. It was an opportunity to give something personal from the Strong Hands Reborn Dad community.

The original rules required nominators to be at least 18, prohibited self-nominations and limited the recipient’s shipping address to the continental United States. The video described an August 1 announcement as the planned next step. Those details explain the event as it was announced; this archive is not a new set of current giveaway rules.

What I hoped people would hear

A reborn doll can have a story before it arrives in its next home. For me, this project was about treating that story with care and inviting others to notice someone who might welcome a thoughtful gift. Appreciation for a doll can sit alongside generosity, prayer and a simple personal note.

I am grateful to the people who helped share the announcement and the people who trusted the project with their nominations. Private nomination details do not belong in this public history. The lasting part I want to preserve is the spirit of giving that started it.
